A couple things
The kil.n.it Glaze Kitchen is a special, self-service place where you can make a glaze from a recipe, or invent something new, and only pay for what you use: for the day you need it the grams you use.
The Glaze Kitchen is open upon appointment, as well as within business contact hours (10-4pm weekdays). If you have been inducted into the Workshop, The Glaze Kitchen is not included.
You must be inducted to use the Glaze Kitchen self-service materials: this is so we know you know how to behave safely and log your use accurately.
You can just hire the room to peacefully apply glazes: either glazes you have purchased or a selection from our Glaze Buffet (additional fee, read below) in The kitchen are a range of tongs, brushed, buckets, planks, banding wheels and table space for you to comfortably work uninterrupted.
If you are new to glazing; you can take a flexible private assisted sessions which takes place in the glaze kitchen:
The Glaze Buffet ($40) is a range of glazes we have in our Glaze Kitchen as unconventional options for a range of temperatures. The only limit to how much glaze you consume in the Buffet - is how much you can get out of the bucket!
Before using these glazes, please pre-purchase your entry to the Buffet.
These Buffet glazes are a part of the kil.n.it research and development within our space as we are striving to create incredible glazes appropriate to the temperatures that our kilns are set to in weekly firings. As they are in testing stages, they will not always be perfect results. It is recommended you stir the mix before using it. It is up to you to test and plan appropriately as kiln firing terms and conditions will hold you responsible for kil.n.it Buffet glazes.
