Mixed Business
Location: The Classroom @ Glebe Town Hall
Teacher: Luke O'Connor (Monday class) - EJ Son (Thursday class)
Time: Monday class 6.30 - 8.30 pm - Thursday class 7-9pm
Class Size: 6*
Length: 8 weeks
Mixed Business will allow students to experiment with clay using not one particular technique but instead combining both hand building and wheel throwing. This course will look at ways that the hands and the wheel can be used together to create ceramic forms, both functional and sculptural.
Over the 8 weeks, students will explore a range of making, joining and painting/decorating techniques and the variety of options that are available for use when working with the ceramic medium.
This course is perfect for beginners, those who may have completed classes in one of the areas - either hand building or wheel throwing - and are looking to further their knowledge or individuals who are experienced in working with clay but want a different perspective on using certain tools and certain techniques.
Graduates of this course may book unsupervised workshop time to continue their projects at the kil.n.it studio.
Cost includes all materials, glazing and firing.
*Please note: this class will only go ahead with a minimum of 3 bookings
